THE STORY
SOUL CITY VIBES
Born in Queens. Built in South Florida. Soul City Vibes is what happens when the culture refuses to be silent.
THE NAME
WHAT SOUL CITY VIBES MEANS
“Everything starts with a core. A foundation.”
Soul is what you're made of — your foundation, the part of you that doesn't change when the noise around you does.
City is your environment — where you come from, what shaped you, what stays in you no matter how far you travel.
Vibes is what you put out, and what comes back. People are products of their environment. They stick to their kind. The energy you emit attracts the same in return.
“Soul City Vibes is everything that starts at the bottom and rises to the top. The sound of where we come from, made for everyone who recognizes it.”
HOW IT STARTED
THE FOUNDATION
“Soul City Vibes wasn't a plan. It was a response.”
“Bizz Rock got tired of paying for services he could learn and do himself. So he learned them. Production, engineering, mixing, mastering, DJing, design, broadcasting, podcasting — all in house.”
“Before SCV, there was KSBN — Kingdom Studio Broadcasting Network. The original label, the original media operation. KSBN ran multiple arms at once:”
- KSBN Radio — an online radio station broadcasting independent hip-hop and culture
- KSBN Live — a live streaming network with three weekly podcasts and a rotating roster of DJs doing live sets across Facebook Live, Instagram, and YouTube
- KSBN Publishing — the publishing house behind every Bizz Rock × Blak Prophet release
“When the COVID pandemic hit in 2020, audiences shifted. Traditional radio listening dropped. Live streaming and on-demand took over. KSBN Radio shut down in 2021 — not because it failed, but because the world had moved.”
“Soul City Vibes is what came after. Same DNA, same in-house philosophy, new umbrella for a new chapter. KSBN Publishing still handles the catalog. Everything else lives here.”
“When you wear that many hats — radio host, podcaster, DJ booker, publisher, beatmaker, designer, web builder — you stop being a guy who hires the brand. You become the brand itself.”
THE SOUND
KSBN PRESENTS: BIZZ ROCK × BLAK PROPHET
“In 2014, Bizz Rock was producing a live-streaming podcast out of his studio — back when going live on Facebook and Instagram was brand new and most of the industry hadn't caught on yet. The host, YNGKALI (now KALI1), introduced him to an MC from South-Side Jamaica Queens.”
“That was Blak Prophet.”
“First night Prophet heard a selection of Bizz's beats, he called it. Bizz was going to be the DJ Premier in his story. Bizz just needed a Guru to make it happen.”
“The chemistry was immediate. Bizz built the beats. Prophet brought the bars. What started as a studio link-up became a catalog — all released through KSBN Publishing: Kings of the Kingdom, The King of Queens Vol. 1, The Future Is Now.”
“A producer from Queens raised in South Florida. An MC from South-Side Jamaica Queens. Two boroughs, one sound.”

WHAT’S NEXT
THE FUTURE
“Right now: a producer's brand. The catalog, the beats, the apparel, the culture — all running through one house.”
“Down the road: a collective. More artists. More producers. More projects under the Soul City Vibes umbrella. The foundation is set. The vision is open.”
“Whatever brought you here — the music, the beats, the merch, the story — there's a way in.”
